  35. program. The options in it may be a little confusing at first. We have 
  36. included step by step instructions, which we hope will make ordering 
  37. easier for you.

  48. You may still use the "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" program and Kagi
  49. Shareware to make payment for your registration, or you may include
  50. check, money order or cash in US currency for the appropriate amount
  51. when you send proof of academic affiliation by postal mail.

  55. Using The "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" program for ordering
  56.  
  57. To order a single commercial copy____________________________________
  58.  
  59. 1: Double click the program icon to launch it.
  60. 2: At the top of the window you will see three text entry fields for 
  61.    name and address information.
  62.    
  63.    Register To:
  64.    Email Address:
  65.    Postal (required):
  66.    
  67.    In the 'Register To:' field enter your first and last name.
  68.    
  69.    In the 'Email Address:' field enter your full email address. Please 
  70.    double check to make sure that it is correct. If it is not a valid 
  71.    email address we WILL NOT be able to fulfill your order. (If you do 
  72.    not have an email address at present but would like to register your 
  73.    copy of PhotoGIF a postal shipping option is available at an 
  74.    additional charge of $5 US.)

  76.    In the 'Postal (required:)' field enter your correct mailing address.
  77.    This information is required for several reasons. One, if you need a
  78.    receipt for your order or want the postal shipping option we have to
  79.    have your address to send them to. Two, in case your email address is
  80.    invalid due to a typo or at a later date because of a change in access
  81.    we will have an alternate means of contacting you.

  83. 3: Below the text entry field for postal address, you will see the
  84.    ordering options for PhotoGIF. They are in four horizontal sections 
  85.    within a scrolling section of the "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" program’s
  86.    window. Note that you will have to scroll down to see the fourth one.

  88.    The top section "PhotoGIF Commercial User Pricing" is the main section
  89.    you will need to be concerned with here.
  90.    
  91.    The first field within this section (located to the left) is a text
  92.    entry field followed by the label 'Single User @US$25'.
  93.    
  94.    Click in the text edit field and type '1' for the number of first
  95.    single user commercial copy of PhotoGIF you wish to register.
  96.    
  97.    After you enter '1' in this field you will see the total cost of your
  98.    order $25 appear in the top right area of the "PhotoGIF Commercial
  99.    User Pricing" area and in the 'Total' area that is located directly
  100.    above the "Copy" button toward the lower right of the programs main
  101.    dialog window. This 'Total' field will automatically reflect the 
  102.    options you have chosen so please compare the value in it with the
  103.    above listed prices of PhotoGIF to make sure that you are not 
  104.    ordering more than you intend to by accident.

  106.    NOTE: Please don't enter more than 1 in this field. Additional copies
  107.    are subject to a substantial discount, but since Kagi Shareware 
  108.    uses an automated system if you enter more than 1 in this field you
  109.    will be billed $25 each instead of the discounted price of $15 for
  110.    additional single user commercial copies of PhotoGIF purchased.

  112. 4: If you want to receive PhotoGIF on a diskette in the mail you will
  113.    need to click on the lower part of the scroll bar at the right side
  114.    of the ordering options area to cause the "PhotoGIF Postal Shipping
  115.    Option" to become visible"
  116.    
  117.    Enter a '1' in the text entry field to the left ('Single User@US$5')
  118.    Shipping cost is $5 regardless of destination. In the 'Total' field
  119.    the price will now be "USD30" ($25 + $5 shipping)
  120.    
  121.    Please don't enter more than '1' in this field, because if you do
  122.    it will result in your being over-billed.

  124. 5: Next you will need to select the form of payment from the "Payment
  125.    Details" area at the bottom left of the "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop"
  126.    program's main dialog window. Click on the pull-down menu there and
  127.    chose the form of payment you wish to use.

  138.    Are the available options. You will be presented with further options
  139.    depending on the method of payment you select.

  141.    If you select cash you will be presented with another pull-down menu
  142.    for the currency. This menu contains a list of accepted currencies and
  143.    their current exchange rate. When you select the currency of your choice
  144.    the 'Total' field will change to reflect the total in that currency.
  145.    
  146.    If you chose a credit card method fields will appear for you Name as it
  147.    appears on your credit card, card number, and expiration date.
  148.    
  149.    If you select First Virtual a field will appear for your First Virtual
  150.    token.

  152. 6: If you wish to receive a paper receipt from Kagi Shareware for your
  153.    order click the check box for 'Paper Receipt' located above the 
  154.    'Total' field. The cost for this service from Kagi is an additional
  155.    $1 US.
  156.    
  157. 7: You can either submit your order to Kagi Shareware for processing by
  158.    email or by postal mail.
  159.    
  160.    To submit by postal mail click on the "Print" button. The "Register 
  161.    1.1.6 BoxTop" will remind you of any necessary fields that you have
  162.    inadvertently left blank and sometimes ask you if you are sure this
  163.    is what you want to order if the total is high.

  165.    You will have to check the appropriate options in the print dialog
  166.    for your printer, also.

  174.   To submit your order by email first click on the "Copy" button. This
  175.   will copy the text print-out that "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" generates
  176.   so it can be pasted into an email message.

  178.   After you copy open your mail program and a new message. paste the 
  179.   text out-put from "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" into the body of the 
  180.   message. And address it to: shareware@kagi.com

  182.   Please do not edit the pasted text in any way, since it will be
  183.   processed by an automated system.

  189. To order multiple commercial single user copies______________________

  191. 1: In addition to the steps outlined above you will need to complete 
  192.    the "Additional Commercial User Copies" section.

  194.    Enter the number of additional copies you would like to register
  195.    in the left text entry field ('Single User @US$15')
  196.    
  197.    If you want 4 copies, for example, you would enter '3' in this
  198.    field. Discounts only apply to subsequent copies purchased - not
  199.    the first copy.

  205. ordering situation will help you become familiar enough with how the
  206. "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" program works to understand all the available

  212. After You Order

  214. When Kagi Shareware receives and processes your order we are sent 
  215. your order information by email from Kagi Shareware. We will then
  216. contact you by email for additional information required to send you
  217. your registration number to disable the shareware dialogs in PhotoGIF.
  218.  
  219. The information we need is the serial number that appears in the top-
  220. right corner of the second shareware dialog, the one where you enter
  221. your registration number to disable the shareware dialogs.
  222.  
  223. This is a 10 digit serial number that is unique to your copy of PhotoGIF
  224. and Photoshop (If you use PhotoGIF with a different copy of Photoshop this
  225. serial number will change.)

  227. You can speed the ordering process by emailing the text output from the
  228. "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop" program and the serial number from each copy of
  229. PhotoGIF that you are registering directly to us at: boxtop@aris.com at 
  230. the  same time that you send it via email or postal mail to Kagi 
  231. Shareware.

  233. This will speed the process, but if you do not send us your PhotoGIF
  234. serial number(s) we will contact you by email asking you for them the
  235. same day we receive your order information from Kagi Shareware.

  237. If you request the postal shipping option the process is slower since
  238. we will have to obtain your PhotoGIF serial numbers by postal mail which
  239. could take as long as 45 days for all necessary correspondence if you
  240. are outside of the US and as long as 15 days if you are in the US.

  246. We would like to hear your feedback on the "Register 1.1.6 BoxTop"
  247. program, which Kagi Shareware licenses from Peter Lewis. We think that
  248. it could be done much better and want to hear your suggestions and
  249. questions so we will be better able to do just that.
